Overview
The WinsurTech AL3 Desktop Viewer is a desktop application designed to open, view, edit, and explore insurance data files in AL3 and DAT formats. It provides two viewing modes: Tree View and Raw View, allowing users to examine structured insurance data and its underlying file content.

The viewer simplifies insurance data inspection with a clear, organized interface for navigating complex AL3 and DAT files. Users can edit supported data and download updated AL3 files. It also supports keyword search and, where supported by the selected plan, JSON and Excel exports.
What the viewer includes
The WinsurTech AL3 Desktop Viewer provides a range of features to simplify the inspection and analysis of insurance data files.
- Open Policy and Direct Bill Commission Files: Open and view AL3 files containing policy transactions and Direct Bill Commission data.
- Multiple File Support: Open and work with up to five files simultaneously for convenient comparison and analysis.
- Edit and Update Data: Edit supported data elements within AL3 files and update the relevant information as needed.
- Easy View (Tree View): Explore file contents in a structured, hierarchical format to navigate insurance data segments and elements easily.
- Raw View: Inspect the raw file content to examine the underlying AL3/DAT structure and segment-level information.
- Keyword Search: Search within the file for specific keywords or information to locate relevant data quickly.
- Hide Blank and Null Values: Filter out empty or null values to make the displayed data cleaner and easier to read.
- JSON and Excel Export: Download file data in JSON or Excel format for further analysis and integration, where supported by the selected license plan.
AL3 Desktop Viewer Plan
Each license is a one-time purchase per installation and provides access for the selected license period. The plan selector shows the current price, term, transaction allowance, and included features.
1-Year License
Desktop Viewer access for the selected one-year license period.
5-Year License
Desktop Viewer access for the selected five-year license period.
The plan selector also lists the transaction allowance (for example, 50,000 transactions for 12 months) and whether JSON/Excel export is included. These are plan details separate from the license term.

Purchase and activation
Choose a license plan, review its price, license period, transaction allowance, and included features, then complete the one-time purchase through the payment system. After purchase, obtain your license key and enter it into the AL3 Desktop Viewer to activate the license. You can purchase a renewal or a different license plan when needed.
